One of the unexpected blessings of being a photographer has been the way it’s allowed me to both form new friendships and reconnect with old friends. Sarah was a good friend of mine in high school in Minnesota and I was so excited when she asked if I would take her family photos during their Colorado vacation! Unfortunately their time here overlapped with my own vacation to a different part of Colorado, but luckily there was one beautiful evening when we were both able to be in the Fort Collins area. I recommended that we do their session at our beloved Horsetooth Reservoir because while they do have 10,000 lakes in Minnesota, none of them are quite like this!
