I love a maternity photo session, because it means a newborn session is coming soon! I really prefer that my newborn clients do a maternity session- that’s why I offer them as a very affordable add on to my newborn sessions! One reason is that I just think they’ll never regret documenting this exciting time of anticipation. The other is that it’s just such a great chance for me to get to know the family a bit before I come into their home to spend a few hours with their brand new baby. Then once the baby arrives, they know me and trust me, and I’m already invested in their story and so excited to meet that new baby!
I loved meeting the Weavers and their sweet little girl! One of the highlights of the session was when a couple of women came walking by us with a horse. The Weavers’ little one was so excited to pet the horse and once they walked away again she was just overcome with joy over the fact that she had gotten to see that horsey up close! It was so cute, and you can see her reaction with her little hands clasped together in one of the last photos posted here. I can’t wait to meet her new sibling next month and see her take on the role of big sister!
