Maternity/Family Photo Session

With the amazingly warm days we’ve had in Fort Collins these last couple of weeks, I’m so glad I’ve had the chance to do a few outdoor photo sessions!  There’s honestly not much I’d rather do on a sunny evening than meet a sweet family at a beautiful natural area and take photos for them.  I really like using this riverbed area for winter photos because I feel like it still has some character even when there’s not a leaf to be found.

This family is extra special to me because they are my brother and sister in law and little nephew!  They’re expecting a baby girl in March and we all are pretty excited.  I’ve already offered to be her personal shopper. 😉  Speaking of clothes, I love how mom chose to highlight pink in their wardrobe as a nod to the baby girl.  While this was technically a maternity session, we did some photos of just big brother too because it had been a while and well, he’s pretty adorable.  I can’t wait to meet his baby sister in just one month!  Here are few of my favorite shots from their session.Family of three posing for a photo session at the Poudre Environmental Learning Center in Fort CollinsClose up belly shot for maternity photos mother and son wearing pink and grey067A2068blog 067A2046blog 067A2015blogAn expectant mother poses for maternity photos by Becky Michaud, Fort Collins photographerA toddler sits on a small white couch in a field of river rock 067A1976blogBecky Michaud, Northern Colorado photographer, takes a photo of a little boy on a couchMaternity photo of an expectant mom on a bridge 067A1910blog067A2147blog
